Hassan Moghaddam

Tar & Setar

He was born in Mashhad in northeastern Iran at 1965.
From the very beginning of learning and feeling life, he was very much attentive to the quiet and simple whispering.
He couldn't accept the reigning of people who try showing themselves as fair and just governors of principle, and he was opposed to that dreadful atmosphere. At the time he was beginning to play his instrument which is called Tar to heal his damaged soul.

- He was learning the Tar through the lecture of Master Keyvan Saket who innovated the new technique of playing Tar.
- He had many concerts in and outside of Iran.
- Nowadays He teaching Tar and Setar to traditional music lover.

- He is of the key members of Valeh music ensemble who is palying instrument such as Tar and he is also responsible for selecting traditional Persian music and song.

He uses the fantastic technique of the old masters of Persian classical music, Ostad Vaziri; which is made the Tar more marvelous then the past. But also his extraordinary attention and feeling looking for the way each note is playing to make his perform more and more inner; like in the way that we can feel space, silence and melody between the plectrums of works of Master Mohammad Reza Lotfi.
